Zero State One Minute Silence

This song starts with a great riff and the anticipation is that it’s going to take your face off with a pickaxe. Unfortunately, that’s it, and the song soon drifts into a competent but ultimately dull bit of indie pop/rock. The clichéd I’m-not-interested-vocals don’t help.

It’s not really that bad, and does have a bit of menace about it, but it’s not terribly memorable. It suffers from the same problem that many indie bands have when they try to their hand at full on rock. There’s the feeling that they are holding back, as if it’s not that cool. Lads, if you want to let loose and crack skulls, do so, you’ll feel all the better for it.
